Today, Topacz Castle is a combination of historical buildings with modern luxury. However, recreating this place with the respect it deserves also required uncovering its history. The first information about the building concerns the castle tower. Unfortunately, it is not known exactly when the manor house was built.
RENAISSANCE BUILDING
Between 1586 and 1600, the estate belonged to Heinrich von Vogt. His successor, in 1618, added a Renaissance building. Between 1699 and 1741, the manor passed to Hans Christian von Roth. His daughter, Charlotte Eleonora, brought it as a dowry to the Köningsdorf family.
EXPANSION AND WAR TIMES
In the 19th century, rooms were added on the northwest side, and the tower was raised. In 1870, the estate was sold to the founder of the Rath Schöller & Skene sugar company, which remained its owner until World War II. The property was not damaged during the war.
